FBI releases 191-page file on Steve Jobs

On Thursday the FBI released its file on Steve Jobs — all 191 pages — as a result of a Freedom of Information request by Wired.com and other media outlets following his death. Apparently the FBI had done a background check on him because the first president Bush was considering appointing him to a government position in 1991.

I miss the stylus from the old Windows Mobile days. These new touch screens can be difficult for accurate typing, drawing, and pointing. A stylus is much more precise. When the iPhone first came out, I used to call its users nose miners. Ah, the good old days of yore.

Anyway, I'm back in business. I just acquired a magnificent MagicWand by MediaDevil that would make Harry Potter envious. While it's not an Elder Wand made at Alivans, it's a super pointer that improves typing accuracy immeasurably.

Rumor: Apple pressing to get apps ready for March intro of iPad 3

All of the rumors suggest that the iPad 3 will have a high-resolution retina display, and The Next Web is reporting that Apple is scrambling to identify apps that will show off the graphics capability of this device. The apps selected will be part of the presentation when the event is held next month, as anticipated. And according to the report, they'll also be used in advertising.

Okay, so this is probably one of the cooler applications that I have seen in a long time. Have you ever felt like giving yourself a run for your money in Movie Awards Trivia? Well, look no further than this application!

I like the graphics of this app, I think they are really cool and cute. The app has a theme, movies, and when starting to play the game a soft and sweet little melody starts to play that accompanies the game (you do have the option to shut off this music if it doesn’t agree with you).

I must say that I was surprised when I received this "tablet" for review. Somehow I was expecting a 7 to 10 inch screen, but instead, this unit is about the size of an iPod touch. In fact, that's the best way to describe it. It's an Android iPod touch.

It's a bit thicker than an iPod with a smaller touch screen at 3.2 inches with a 400 x 240 resolution and 18 bit color depth. I found the on screen keyboard extremely difficult to use because the screen and keys are so small. It measures approximately 2 1/8 x 4 1/8 x 1/4 inches and weighs a mere 2 1/2 ounces. It has a handsome, sleek, black case.

The photo canvas app is a very simple app which allows you to take pictures with your iPhone and send them to this company to be printed on high quality canvas and shipped to you. With the newer iPhone 4 and 4s the camera is able to take high resolution pictures and since people have their phone with them all the time, this is how many people are taking most of their pictures. Unfortunately that used to mean that it was difficult to move the pictures over to your computer, edit them and have them printed professionally.

The blogs are buzzing today with the rumor that Apple will announce the iPad 3 at an event in San Francisco the first week of March. The source is All Things D, which has an excellent reputation for accuracy. Plus, the iPad 2 was announced in early March a year ago, so the timing would be about right. All Things D says that those in the know say that the new iPad will have many of the rumored features: a faster processor, speedier graphics, and a retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536.
